Protecting vulnerable children and building strong families.
We typically serve 10 of the 15 counties in the UP. Each month our four full time and two part time case workers monitor and care for an average of 29 children and their foster care and/or biological families. 46 children received permanent placement in foster care homes and we finalized 9 adoptions in 2013. In 2014, CSSUP completed 14 adoptions and cared for approximately 25 children per month.
We teach and mentor young parents who are struggling with unemployment, addiction or a lack of a positive parent role model. We also help families license homes which provides opportunities to take in future adoptions and foster care children.
We are currently seeking families who are interested in becoming foster parents. There are children in our communities who need a safe and loving family to care for them. To learn more about foster parenting contact Tricia Emery at 906-280-0843 or email her at email@example.com
He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me. Matthew 18:2-6
