Rebecca is the Child Welfare Assistant in our Iron Mountain office. She came to us in December of 2016.
She is a native of Illinois, and graduated from Augustana College with a B.A. in Speech Communication, Political Science, and Public Administration. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Public Administration at NMU. Her background is in non-profit and community development which makes her a great fit for CSSUP!
Rebecca has 3 daughters, and enjoys spending time with them and her two dogs, Tybalt and Ophelia.
Patty Tighe LLMSW
Jim is a native Yooper, born and raised in Escanaba. Prior to joining Catholic Social Services, Jim worked in the construction field as a drywaller/painter. After the housing recession in 2008/09, he returned to school to find a new career. Jim graduated from Bay College with a Certificate in Entrepreneurial and Small Business in 2012. Shortly afterwards he went to Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan where he studied Religion. Jim was contemplating Pastoral Ministry with his Religion degree, but realized that that was not his calling. While there, he discovered the field of Social Work and applied to the University of Michigan after graduating from Andrews in 2015. He was accepted into U of M’s MSW program and studied Children & Youth in Families and Society as his concentration area. Jim graduated in December of 2016 with his MSW degree and relocated back to the U.P. where he is excited to serve his community.
Jim is married to his wonderful wife Janell and has a daughter. His favorite activity is spending time with his wife and daughter. His other interest include hiking and camping in the Hiawatha National Forest model railroading, reading spiritual books and historical, and studying his Native American heritage.
Kathryn is a fully licensed Master Level Social Worker and has a CAADC. She will be working full time in our Marquette office. Kathryn comes from the outpatient Behavioral Health Services office at Duke Lifepoint. Kathryn sees teenagers and adults for mental health and adults for substance abuse issues.
